Job Title: IT Support and Purchase Executive

Job Summary:

The IT Support and Purchase Executive will be a crucial member of our team, responsible for providing technical support to employees, maintaining IT infrastructure, and efficiently managing the procurement of all IT-related goods and services. This role requires a proactive and organized individual with a strong understanding of IT systems and excellent negotiation and vendor management skills. The ideal candidate will ensure that our IT operations run smoothly and that we acquire the best value for our IT investments.


Key Responsibilities:


IT Support & Administration:

  • Provide first-line technical support to all employees for hardware, software, and network issues (e.g., troubleshooting computers, printers, connectivity, applications).
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, operating systems, and applications.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in various systems.
  • Perform regular IT maintenance tasks, including backups, updates, and security checks.
  • Assist with the setup and configuration of new workstations and IT equipment for new hires.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of all IT assets and equipment.
  • Document IT procedures, solutions, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT staff or external vendors as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with IT security policies and best practices.

IT Procurement & Vendor Management:


  • Identify and assess IT procurement needs across various departments.
  • Research and identify potential vendors and suppliers for IT hardware, software, licenses, and services (e.g., laptops, servers, networking equipment, cybersecurity solutions, cloud services).
  • Request quotes, proposals, and tenders from multiple suppliers.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with vendors to secure the most favorable deals while ensuring quality and compliance.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders (POs) and ensure timely delivery of IT goods and services.
  • Track and monitor the status of orders, deliveries, and payments.
  • Maintain accurate records of all IT purchases, contracts, warranties, and supplier information.
  • Manage vendor relationships, including performance evaluation and issue resolution.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements in IT procurement.
  • Stay updated on market trends, new technologies, and industry best practices in IT and procurement.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards in all procurement activities.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Proven experience of 4 Years in an IT support role.
  • Proven experience 3 year in a procurement or purchasing role, preferably with a focus on IT.

Skills & Competencies:


  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems.
    • Familiarity with common office software (MS Office Suite, Google Workspace).
    • Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, VPN).
    • Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues effectively.
    • Experience with ticketing systems and remote support tools.

  • Procurement & Negotiation:
    • Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
    • Strong understanding of procurement principles and processes.
    • Ability to analyze market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities.
    • Experience with contract review and management.
    • Proficiency in using procurement software or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) is a plus.

  • Communication & Interpersonal Skills:
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
    • Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with colleagues and vendors.
