Job Description

Overview:

Working as Compliance Specialist, you will be a strategic link between Fastenal's Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, Product Development, Suppliers, Customers, and Sales Teams. Your main responsibility will be providing first level support product/supplier development. Focus on Fastenals all products compliance selling, especially for Chemical and Hazardous product offering, you will also help research local regulations, create solutions, and enforce product and brand compliance in all countries in which Fastenal operates and ensure the right team are engaged to provide a high level of service to both internal and external customer demands. Some of the key areas of focus include but are not limited to brand and packaging guidelines, collaboration with trade and global compliance team, labeling verify, language demands and governance for operational impact. Responsibilities:

The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Enforcing our company policy with regards to supply chain compliance
  • Researching regulations and the applicability to Fastenal
  • Creating and enforcing standard operating guideline while driving continuous improvement
  • Continuing the improvement of supplier portal
  • Documents verification and compliance review for bring supplier on board and/or supplier information change.
  • Supplier ID creation in FASTENAL systems.
  • Creating compliance governance at each stage of Fastenal Brand products life cycle.
  • Using internal systems such as PeopleSoft, PIM, and Microsoft Office suite

Required position qualifications:

The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:

  • Excellent English written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (V-lookups and basic formatting)
  • Highly motivated, self-directed and customer service oriented
  • Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities.
  • Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency.
  • Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work independently and as a team.
  • Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity, and teamwork.
  • Working experience in chemicals, EHS or related regulations is preferred.
  • 1-3 years preffered with immediate joiners ****
