Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Java Backend Developer with 4 to 6 years of experience for an exciting opportunity at Goldman Sachs, Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices, and should be proficient in designing and developing scalable, secure, and high-performing applications.
- Design and develop scalable microservices using Java 8+, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs.
- Implement robust backend solutions with relational databases like PostgreSQL and Apache Kafka.
- Ensure application quality through CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Maven, SonarQube, Checkmarx, Chef).
- Apply event-driven and domain-driven design principles for high-performance systems.
- Perform system-level diagnostics and performance tuning to maintain application stability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in the Banking/Financial Services domain for end-to-end delivery.
Mandatory Skills:
- Java 8 and above
- Spring Boot Framework
- Microservices Architecture
- Relational Databases (e.g., PostgreSQL)
- SQL
- Apache Preferred
Domain Experience Preferred:
- Banking / Financial Services
Technical Skills:
Strong proficiency in:
- Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs
- PostgreSQL or similar relational databases
- Apache Kafka development
SME-level experience in deploying applications via CI/CD pipelines using tools such as:
- Chef
- Jenkins
- SonarQube
- Checkmarx
- Maven
Expertise in:
- High- and Low-Level System Design
- Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
- Event-driven architecture, especially event-first design and implementation
Proficient in:
- Performance tuning
- System-level troubleshooting and diagnostics
Demonstrated ability in:
- Team leadership, mentorship, and technical coaching
- Engaging in technical discussions with senior technical experts and business stakeholders
Important Note:
The selection process, including face-to-face interviews, will be conducted in Indore.
Successful candidates will be expected to work from our Bangalore office.
