Job Description
We are looking for Data Sourcing Manager for AI Market, a professional responsible for identifying, acquiring, and managing datasets required for training and validating AI models. This role is crucial in ensuring that data used is high-quality, diverse, ethically sourced, and aligned with the goals of the AI product or research.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Strategy & Planning
- Define data needs based on model objectives (e.g., speech, image, video, text).
- Plan data collection/sourcing in alignment with business and compliance goals.
Vendor & Partner Management
- Identify and engage third-party vendors, data collection agencies, or open-source providers.
- Negotiate data licensing, usage rights, and exclusivity terms.
Project Management
- Oversee data collection projects, from setup to delivery.
- Monitor timelines, budgets, and quality control processes.
Compliance & Ethics
- Ensure data sourcing complies with GDPR, CCPA, and other data privacy regulations.
- Maintain clear consent and documentation for all personally identifiable or sensitive data.
Quality Assurance
- Implement standards for data quality (accuracy, completeness, labeling consistency).
- Work with annotation and QA teams to validate data suitability for model training.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Coordinate with AI engineers, product managers, and legal teams.
- Understand evolving needs for new data types as models develop.
Ideal Background:
- Experience in AI/ML data workflows.
- Strong knowledge of data privacy laws.
- Excellent negotiation and project management skills.
- Familiarity with tools for data collection, storage, and labeling.
