Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret a broad range of imaging studies including X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, ultrasounds, and mammograms (depending on specialty).
- Perform image-guided procedures such as biopsies, drainages, or joint injections (if applicable).
- Provide preliminary and final radiology reports in a timely and accurate manner.
- Collaborate with referring physicians to discuss findings and ensure coordinated patient care.
- Maintain compliance with hospital and departmental protocols, policies, and quality assurance initiatives.
- Participate in peer reviews, case conferences, and continuing education activities.
- Stay updated with advancements in radiologic technology and medical imaging practices.
- Supervise or consult with radiologic technologists when needed.
- May participate in teleradiology or night shift coverage as required.
Qualifications:
- MD degree from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of a residency in Diagnostic Radiology.
- Fellowship training in a radiology subspecialty (optional but preferred e.g., neuroradiology, musculoskeletal, breast imaging, etc.).
- Valid and unrestricted medical license in [State].
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
