Job Description
Role Summary:
Biocon Biologics is seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to support our Drug Product manufacturing facilities, ensuring optimal performance, compliance, and reliability of all HVAC systems critical to GMP operations. This role is essential in maintaining environmental conditions that meet regulatory requirements for sterile manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot HVAC systems including AHUs, chillers, air compressors, dehumidifiers, and cleanroom environmental controls.
- Conduct routine preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure uninterrupted facility operations and GMP compliance.
- Monitor and record critical parameters such as temperature, humidity, and differential pressure in classified areas.
- Collaborate with QA, Production, and Validation teams during HVAC qualification and requalification activities.
- Ensure compliance with cGMP, ISO, and Biocon Biologics EHS standards.
- Support cleanroom HVAC controls for Grade A/B/C/D environments, HEPA filter integrity, and air balancing.
- Maintain maintenance logs, calibration records, and deviation reports in line with audit requirements.
- Participate in root cause analysis and CAPA implementation for HVAC-related deviations or system failures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor/Master in Mechanical, Electrical, or HVAC engineering.
- 8- 15 years of experience in HVAC operations and maintenance in pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing (sterile environments preferred).
- Strong understanding of cleanroom classifications, GMP guidelines, and HVAC qualification protocols.
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
- Experience with BMS (Building Management Systems) and automated HVAC controls is a plus.

- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Willingness to work in shifts and respond to emergency breakdowns when required.
