Job Description

Role & responsibilities


Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage end-to-end delivery of technology transformation projects within the banking sector, ensuring adherence to timelines, budget, and quality standards.
Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope definition, resource allocation, risk management, and communication strategies, tailored to banking technology initiatives.
Demonstrate a strong understanding of banking products (e.g., loans, deposits, payments, trade finance) and the broader financial services landscape.
Effectively manage and collaborate with diverse teams, including technology development, business stakeholders, and external vendors, within a banking context.
Apply both waterfall and agile (Scrum/Kanban) methodologies as appropriate to manage project execution and adapt to evolving requirements in a dynamic banking environment.
Identify, assess, and proactively mitigate project risks and issues specific to banking technology implementations, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effectiveness throughout the project lifecycle, with a keen understanding of financial implications within a banking institution.
Facilitate effective communication and reporting to senior management and stakeholders on project status, progress, and potential roadblocks, tailored to a banking audience.
Ensure compliance with relevant banking regulations, security standards, and internal policies during project execution.
Foster a collaborative and high-performing project team environment, mentoring junior team members and promoting best practices in banking technology project delivery.
Drive continuous improvement in project management processes and methodologies within the organization, incorporating learnings from past banking projects.
Act as a Scrum Master when required, facilitating agile ceremonies, removing impediments, and ensuring the team adheres to agile principles for relevant projects.
Excellent excel and power point skills a must to be able to draft and explain data and business problems, updates to stakeholders and team.
