Job Description
Position: Hostess
Reporting to: Restaurant Manager.
Experience: 6 months to 2 years.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcoming Guests: Greet guests with a warm and friendly demeanor, creating a positive first impression.
- Managing Reservations: Take and confirm reservations, ensuring accurate record-keeping and efficient table management.
- Managing Waitlists: Accurately estimate and communicate wait times to guests, managing the waitlist efficiently.
- Seating Guests: Guide guests to their tables, ensuring they are seated appropriately and efficiently.
- Distributing Menus: Provide guests with menus and answer any initial questions they may have.
- Assisting Servers: Communicate table turnover information to the waitstaff and assist with other duties as needed.
- Answering Phone Calls: Handle incoming phone calls, take reservations, and answer guest inquiries.
- Maintaining a Clean and Organized Area: Contribute to a clean and organized dining area, including cleaning, busing tables, or stocking supplies.
- Providing Excellent Customer Service: Handle guest requests, resolve any minor issues, and ensure a pleasant dining experience.
