ETL Testing/QA Engineer @ Wissen Technology

• Perform ETL testing and validation of data workflows within data warehousing environments.
  
• Develop and execute detailed test plans and test cases to validate ETL processes, transformations, and data quality.
  
• Conduct SQL querying and debugging to validate data correctness and integrity.
  
• Collaborate with development, data engineering, and business teams to identify and troubleshoot data issues.
  
• Validate data-readiness and quality by identifying , analyzing, and addressing data inconsistencies or defects.
  
• Work closely with stakeholders across APAC, EMEA, and NA regions to identify root causes of data/code issues and implement permanent solutions.
  
• Use defect tracking tools like JIRA and Xray for managing test cases and defects.
  
• Prepare test documentation and reports to communicate testing progress and results effectively.
  

Required Skills:

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in ETL Testing , with strong expertise in SQL and debugging.
  
• Solid understanding of Data Warehousing concepts and ETL tools such as Talend Cloud Data Integration , Pentaho/Kettle , or similar.
  
• Experience with Snowflake data platform and concepts around data lakes and cloud data warehousing.
  
• Working knowledge of Azure cloud and testing in Azure environments is a plus.
  
• Familiarity with Qlik Replicate and Compose tools (Change Data Capture) is considered an advantage.
  
• Strong exposure to banking/financial services domain (mandatory).
  
• Experience in defect and test management tools like JIRA and Xray .
  
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
