Job Description

Designation: Sr. Associate-Specialist-Automotive Interiors

Location: Bangalore (In house)

Experience: 7-10 years

Required Skills:

• Design plastic components, brackets and other mounting fixtures to secure wire harnesses and related electromechanical devices in the vehicle
• Working Experience on Interiors, Exteriors trim components using Catia V6/3D experience.
• Understand the Customer requirements, Studio styling criteria and manufacturing requirements and develop 3D CAD models
• Sound knowledge in packaging and feasibility study and master section creation.
• Plastic product design and tooling knowledge.
• Proficient with GD&T.
• Good verbal and written English is essential.

Good to Have:

• Develop and Design wire harness packaging and system schematics in Catia V5 or V6.
• Interface with vehicle or equipment electrical system designers to ensure basic electrical requirements are understood and implemented
• Develop wire harness routing designs in 3D using CATIA . This includes ensuring all harnesses are routed safely and securely and properly connect to applicable electrical units and mating harnesses
• Develop clear, readable wire harness drawings (in CATIA ) conforming to customer and industry drafting standards
• Interface with wire harness suppliers and Cross functional Team to address Design for Manufacturability issue
