Role Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Business Analyst with over 8 years of experience in a commercial environment to act as a crucial liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams. The ideal candidate will possess deep domain knowledge in areas such as Treasury, Payments, Invoicing for Physical Commodities , and other financial instruments, and will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements across global teams in a dynamic and complex project environment.
Location: Mumbai /Pune / Bangalore
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather, analyze, and clearly document business requirements and functional specifications.
- Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and IT delivery teams, ensuring mutual understanding of needs and solutions.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and maintain close communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead or coordinate with business analysts across multiple regions, ensuring alignment and consistency.
- Collaborate with architecture and process reengineering teams to define logical design and optimize business processes.
- Oversee vendor teams and ensure timely delivery of agreed solutions.
- Validate technical requirements and design against business needs, ensuring traceability and quality.
- Provide 3rd-line production support for critical trading systems and liaise with technical teams for resolution.
- Identify opportunities for business process improvement and drive transformational changes.
- Work on system migrations and interfaces, ensuring smooth integration across platforms.
- Ensure effective QA and testing processes aligned with business requirements.
- Provide support and escalation points for offshore and QA teams during implementation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in requirements analysis within a commercial or trading environment.
- Proven ability to communicate across business and IT, including global stakeholders.
- Capable of working independently or leading a team of Business Analysts.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and shifting deadlines.
- Domain expertise in at least one of the following areas:
- Treasury and Payments
- Invoicing for Physical Commodities & Tax
- Settlements & Confirmations
- Reconciliation & Statements
