Inviting applications for the role of Lead Consultant GCP FinOps Analyst We are seeking an experienced FinOps Analyst at the Lead Consultant level to manage and optimize cloud financial operations on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The role involves working closely with engineering, finance, and operations teams to monitor cloud spend, implement cost optimization strategies, and enhance financial visibility and accountability. Responsibilities Own and manage GCP cloud cost governance, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes. Build and maintain dashboards and cost models to provide real-time insights into cloud usage and cost trends. Work with engineering and operations teams to implement cost optimization strategies (rightsizing, scheduling, reservations, committed use discounts, etc.). Analyse spend data to identify anomalies, trends, and savings opportunities. Drive FinOps best practices by establishing cost accountability across business units and teams. Collaborate with finance and procurement to support cloud vendor management, invoice reconciliation, and chargebacks. Establish and refine cloud cost allocation models using labels, folders, and billing accounts. Provide guidance on budget alerts, usage thresholds, and efficiency metrics. Qualifications we seek in you! Minimum Qualifications / Skills Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Strong understanding of GCP billing and cost management tools, pricing models, and services. Proficient in data analysis, visualization tools (e.g., Looker, BigQuery, Power BI), and dashboard creation. Familiar with GCP resource hierarchy, labelling/tags, and usage metrics. Experience with cost allocation, budgeting, forecasting, and cloud optimization techniques. Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications/ Skills GCP FinOps or cloud cost certifications (e.g., FinOps Certified Practitioner, Google Cloud Digital Leader). Experience with FinOps platforms like CloudHealth, Apptio, CloudCheckr, or native GCP tools. Understanding of multi-cloud FinOps strategies is a plus. Consulting background or experience in client-facing roles preferred. ,
