Quality assurance is not just a phase; it is a way of life." Job Summary We are seeking a Senior QA Engineer to play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications. In this role, you will be responsible for functional testing, test case design, defect identification, and validation of software against business requirements. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to ensure software meets industry standards and user expectations. Key Responsibilities Develop, execute, and manage comprehensive functional test cases based on business and technical requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand system functionality and user requirements. Conduct manual testing to validate software functionality, usability, and business logic. Identify, document, and track defects using defect management tools, ensuring their resolution. Perform regression testing to validate bug fixes and prevent issues in future releases. Validate UI/UX, performance, and compatibility across multiple platforms and devices. Execute API testing using tools such as Postman or SoapUI to ensure backend service reliability. Contribute to requirement analysis, identifying potential risks and areas for improvement. Assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by coordinating with business users. Work within an Agile/Scrum environment, actively participating in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives. Stay updated with emerging trends, testing techniques, and best practices in software quality assurance. Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience as a Functional QA Engineer or in a similar role. Strong knowledge of manual testing methodologies and software development lifecycle (SDLC). Experience in writing and executing test cases, test plans, and test scenarios. Proficiency with defect tracking tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, or Trello. Basic SQL knowledge for database validation and data verification. Hands-on experience with API testing tools like Postman, SoapUI, or similar platforms. Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating within a team. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills. Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience working in Agile teams. Exposure to performance and security testing is a plus. Familiarity with automation tools (such as Selenium) is an advantage but not mandatory.
