Job Description

Business Analyst (BA) Responsibilities:

  1. Requirement Gathering and Analysis:
    • Engage with various stakeholders, including business users, project managers, and Salesforce developers, to elicit, document, and analyze business requirements.
    • Facilitate workshops, brainstorming sessions, and interviews with clients to understand their business needs, pain points, and objectives.
    • Develop and maintain detailed business requirements documents (BRD), including use cases, process flows, wireframes, and acceptance criteria.
  2. Solution Design and Functional Specifications:
    • Collaborate with Salesforce architects and developers to design solutions that align with business goals, focusing on Salesforce products like Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Commerce Cloud, and Marketing Cloud.
    • Ensure that business processes are optimized and translated into detailed functional specifications for the development team to follow.
    • Act as the product owner for Salesforce features, ensuring alignment between the clients needs and the technical team's execution.
  3. Process Improvement and Optimization:
    • Analyze existing business processes and recommend best practices for Salesforce implementations, identifying areas for process improvement.
    • Design and document future-state business processes leveraging Salesforce's full potential, including automation, AI-powered insights, and process flows.
  4. User Story Development and Backlog Management:
    • Convert business requirements into user stories for developers, ensuring clear and concise descriptions, acceptance criteria, and priorities.
    • Actively manage and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with project timelines, business priorities, and resource availability.
  5. Stakeholder Communication and Liaison:
    • Serve as the main point of contact between business users and technical teams, facilitating communication, requirements clarification, and decision-making.
    • Deliver regular presentations and progress updates to key stakeholders, ensuring all parties are aligned on scope, timelines, and deliverables.
  6. Salesforce Expertise and Certification Maintenance:
    • Maintain a high level of knowledge about Salesforce best practices, new releases, and features, ensuring solutions are up to date and fully utilize platform capabilities.
    • Provide insights and recommendations on leveraging new features in Salesforce to improve client processes, including automation, AI tools, and enhanced UI components.
