Candidate must have knowledge in building and maintaining websites using the WordPress content management system (CMS). They are essentially web developers who focus on WordPress-specific tasks, including theme customization, plugin development, and troubleshooting. Key Responsibilities: Website Development: They create and modify websites using WordPress, focusing on the front-end (user interface) and back-end (server-side logic). Theme Customization: They modify or create custom themes to match a client's design requirements. Plugin Development: They develop custom plugins to extend WordPress functionality. Website Maintenance: They ensure the website is running smoothly, updating themes and plugins, and addressing any technical issues. Troubleshooting: They diagnose and fix problems related to website functionality, theme compatibility, or plugin issues. Security: They implement security measures to protect the website from threats. Skills Required: Programming Languages: Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP is essential. WordPress Knowledge: Familiarity with WordPress functions, templates, and the theme/plugin system is crucial. Database Management: Knowledge of SQL and MySQL is often needed.
