Job Description
- Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL queries for Tableau data sources, ensuring efficient and accurate data delivery.
- Write and optimize complex queries for Oracle and BigQuery databases to support business reporting needs.
- Work with MongoDB , querying semi-structured data for analytics and reporting purposes.
- Collaborate with BI developers and analysts to enhance data processing efficiency and report accuracy.
- Develop, maintain and enhance existing ETL/ELT pipelines, ensuring data is ingested, transformed, and delivered efficiently.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement improvements in data workflows
- Provide support for troubleshooting and resolving data issues as they arise.
- Participate in early development efforts related to Lakehouse architecture initiatives
- Assist in preparing existing data workflows for integration with modern cloud-based data platforms.
- Stay informed about emerging data technologies and contribute to modernization strategies.
- Perform thorough data validation and reconciliation to ensure consistency across different data sources.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies by working closely with data analysts and business stakeholders.
- Support data quality assurance processes, implementing best practices to improve reliability.
- Qualification: BE/BTech in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field from a top institute (like IIT, NIT, BITS, etc.).
- Experience: 5+ years of experience working with SQL and managing data pipelines.
- Advanced SQL skills for query performance tuning and optimization.
- Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes and experience optimizing data transformations.
- Experience working with relational ( Oracle, BigQuery ) and NoSQL ( MongoDB ) databases.
- Experience with Python or scripting for automation
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, and Azure.
- Bonus points for hands-on experience with BI tools like Tableau!
- You should also have strong analytical problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks independently in a fast-paced environment.
