Job Description
The Junior IAM Analyst is responsible for reviewing user access rights within the environment, ensuring compliance with security policies and procedures. This role involves periodic access certifications, auditing of user access rights, and review of other related identity and access management controls
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, schedule, coordinate and conduct periodic access and reviews to ensure that user access and their privilege levels remain aligned with the business needs and there are no segregation of duties conflicts
- Responsible for documenting and managing tasks and schedules of the user access review process through completion and deliverables meet quality standards
- Provides UAR documentation as required to internal and external auditors
- Assists the Information Security leadership in coordination and completion of initiatives to resolve audit deficiencies and recommendations
- Ensures IT control guidelines, policies and procedures are followed appropriately
- Creates documentation on access review support process and procedures as assigned
- Review and reconcile reports to validate, as a second line function, that users are removed in a timely manner, when a user no longer needs access, or the job role changes.
- Review authentication controls for applications and systems such as password, SSO, MFA
- Review of identity and access management controls and related policies and processes and identify control gaps and provide recommendations.
- Collaborate with application owners to document and understand application roles and entitlements and apply critical judgement during access recertification process to determine that access is appropriate as per the user s job responsibilities.
- Report on status updates and collect data to report on metrics related to the IAM process.
- Working closely with colleagues in the Information Security team on other tasks, programs or projects where required, and work with other bank units to gather requirements / information as needed
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in either Management Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field preferred.
- 2 years of professional experience in either IT audit, cybersecurity analyst, business analyst, identity and access analyst, or similar
- At least one Information Security certifications i.e. CISA, CRISC, CISSP, Security+ or related.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel (including pivot tables and functions).
- Basic understanding of internal and external auditing process, risk management process, SOX, data privacy, NPPI regulations and security compliance frameworks such as SOC1, 2, NIST, FFIEC CAT, ISO
- Basic understanding of provisioning and knowledge of least privilege methodology
- Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
- Willing to learn and grow knowledge around data and access security principals
- Basic analytical skills including the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
- Strong understanding of the organization s goals and objectives
- Ability to speak and provide written communication in a manner that lends to cooperation with peers and user groups
- Basic understanding of banking and financial systems.
- Ability to remain flexible to adapt to changes in the work environment.
- Required: Ability to take initiative and prioritize and coordinate tasks; good time-management, problem prevention, and problem-solving skills.
- Must adhere to all bank s policies
