Job Description
Process Engineer
Experience: 8-18 years
Industry: Oil & Gas experience is mandatory
Job location: Bangalore, working from office job, Monday to Friday
Key skills: Surge Analysis, Aspen HYSYS, Pipe SIM, SPS tools, Gas Processing, Process Engineering, Hydraulic Analysis
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Review and verification of input as per the project requirement.
- Prepare and review process flow diagram for process based on project requirement.
- Prepare, update and review P&IDs based on Process flow or project requirement.
- Performs specialized engineering duties related to pipeline system surge analysis, operating pressures and overpressure protection calculations.
- Conduct surge analysis modeling for projects.
- Review and evaluate data related to overpressure protection setpoints, sizing and installation requirements.
- Assist in design and specification of new/modified overpressure protection mitigations.
- Prepare, update and review Process Datasheets for Process equipment like Pumps, Storage tanks, Reactors, Vessels, Columns, Separator, Heat Exchangers and other process equipment such as filtration equipment, and drying equipment.
- Prepare, update and review Process Datasheets for Instrumentation.
- Perform and review Hydraulic study, Hydraulic calculations for Line sizing, Pump head etc.
- Perform and review Control valve sizing calculations.
- Perform and review Relief valve sizing calculations using appropriate codes
- Prepare, update and review line list, equipment list etc.,
- Prepare, update and review Cause and Effect and Control Narratives based on the project requirements.
- Conduct Surge analysis modeling for projects.
- Preparation of Design documents.
Key Skills:
- Proficient in Aspen HYSYS.
- Working knowledge of Synergy Pipeline Simulator, AFT Impulse or similar software.
- Operating knowledge of AutoCAD & Navis works software.
- Transmission/gathering pipeline operations
- Gas measurement and regulation activities
- Processing and/or storage operations
- Company/Governmental operation and safety procedures
- Pipeline stress/strain analysis
- Industry best practices and design philosophy
Education & Personality:
- B.E. / B. Tech / M. Tech in Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum 4+ years experience in Oil & Gas.
- Good knowledge of industrial Projects in Oil & Gas and Petrochemical Industry.
- Good communication skills with technical experts.
- Good Technical reasoning, analytical and monitoring skills.
- Exposure to Industry design standards and codes.
