Founding Design Engineer (Part-time or Full-time) @ Squarepeg Hires

Voicecare AI is a Healthcare Administration General Intelligence (HAGI) company for the back-office and the RCM industry. We are building a safety focused large and small conversational language model for the healthcare industry. Our mission is to dramatically improve access, adherence, and outcomes for the patients and the healthcare workforce through the application of generative AI. We are a venture-backed company partnering with the top healthcare stakeholders in the country.

We are seeking a Founding Design Engineer with a strong emphasis on design principles to create intuitive, visually appealing, and highly functional healthcare applications. This role requires a deep understanding of user-centered design, accessibility, and usability best practices. The ideal candidate will work closely with engineers, and healthcare professionals to craft seamless digital experiences that improve efficiency and patient engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

User Experience Interface Design

• Leverage automated and AI-based design tools such as Figmas AI features, Adobe Sensei to enhance design workflows.
• Utilize AI-powered prototyping tools to accelerate iteration and testing cycles.
• Design and implement intuitive, user-friendly interfaces for healthcare applications.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and feedback sessions to enhance product usability.
• Develop wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs to communicate design concepts effectively.

Design System Best Practices

• Establish and maintain a consistent design system, including UI components, typography, and branding guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with accessibility standards such as WCAG to provide an inclusive user experience.
• Implement responsive design principles to optimize applications across multiple devices and screen sizes.

Collaboration Development Integration

• Work closely with front-end engineers to ensure seamless implementation of UI designs.
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to align design solutions with business goals.
• Advocate for user-centered design principles throughout the development lifecycle.

Performance Usability Optimization

• Implement AI-driven usability testing and heatmaps to improve user interactions and identify pain points.
• Use machine learning-based A/B testing tools to optimize UI performance and engagement.
• Continuously analyze and optimize UI performance, including page load times and responsiveness.
• Use A/B testing and data-driven insights to refine UI/UX strategies.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging design trends and technologies to enhance healthcare application experiences.

Skills Experience:

• Strong knowledge of UX/UI design principles, including user research and usability testing.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
• Experience in building and maintaining design systems for scalable applications.
• Understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to facilitate collaboration with developers.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices for inclusive design.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on usability and user engagement.
• Experience working with healthcare applications or regulated industries is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor s or Master s degree in UX/UI Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in UX/UI design, with a portfolio showcasing design work.
• Experience designing applications with complex workflows and user interactions.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and cross-functional team collaboration.
• Strong communication skills to present and justify design decisions.
• Candidates located in Bangalore is a plus
