As an Infrastructure/DevOps Tech Lead, you will play a key role in leading the design, implementation, and management of infrastructure and DevOps practices within our organization. You will be responsible for guiding the team in building scalable and efficient infrastructure solutions, implementing automation and DevOps best practices, and ensuring the smooth operation of our technology stack. Your technical expertise, leadership skills, and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams will contribute to the success of our infrastructure and DevOps initiatives.


Essential Skills

  • Proven experience in infrastructure design, implementation, and management, with a focus on DevOps practices.
  • Experience leading and mentoring a team of infrastructure and DevOps professionals.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS infrastructure platforms
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure components, including servers, networks, storage, and virtualization technologies.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and related tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on driving results.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work across teams and influence stakeholders.

Competencies

  • Infrastructure Operations and Support:
  • Ensure the availability, performance, and security of infrastructure systems.
  • Monitor infrastructure health, conduct performance analysis, and implement proactive measures to optimize performance and mitigate risks.
  • Lead incident response efforts, perform root cause analysis, and implement remediation plans.
  • Cloud Infrastructure Management:
  • Architect, deploy, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure.
  • Optimize cloud resource utilization, scalability, and cost efficiency.
  • Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Infrastructure Design and Implementation:
  • Lead the design and implementation of scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather infrastructure requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and enhance infrastructure capabilities.
  • DevOps Implementation and Automation:
  • Define and implement DevOps practices, processes, and tools to streamline software development, deployment, and operations.
  • Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
  • Implement infrastructure-as-code and configuration management tools for efficient and consistent infrastructure provisioning and management.
  • Documentation and Process Improvement:
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure documentation, including architectural diagrams, standard operating procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to enhance the efficiency and reliability of infrastructure and DevOps practices.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelors degree in computer or software Engineering. (OR)
  • Masters in computer science or computer Applications
  • 8 to12+ years of experience in DevOps administration

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Depending on the requirements, the role would involve round the clock coverage across 3 different shifts (Morning, Noon, Night). On-call coverage may include support over the weekends.

This position may require you to travel within India or to other work locations (10-20%)
