Java Technical Lead @ Optum

Job Description

Hello Everyone,

Optum is hiring Java Technical Lead at Gurgaon/Noida.

Primary Skills: Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Angular, Kafka, Azure (preferably) AWS/GCP

Experience: 7 - 12 yrs

Location: Gurgaon/Noida

Notice period: Immediate to 45 days

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of developers, providing guidance and support
• Oversee the design, development, and deployment of backend systems
• Ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards
• Utilize frameworks like Spring Boot and Hibernate for efficient development
• Design scalable and robust backend architectures
• Make high-level design decisions and enforce technical standards
• Collaborate with architects and other tech leads to align on architectural vision
• Work closely with product managers, QA teams, and other stakeholders
• Facilitate effective communication within the team and across departments
• Participate in Agile/Scrum development processes
• Foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning within the team

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate degree or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of experience in Azure. Hands-on technical expertise in delivering Cloud technologies (Azure) into enterprise platforms
• Solid experience in Java 8 or above, Spring, Restful Services, Spring Boot and micro-service based architectures
• Experience in using AngularJS framework
• Experience in using HTTP/RESTful APIs, and JavaScript frameworks1
• Experience in DevOps tools such as Git, Jenkins, Nexus, Maven or equivalent
• Experience of containerization using Docker / Kubernetes
• Good knowledge with messaging services such IBM MQ, Kafka or equivalent
• Good understanding of both RDBMS & NoSQL databases technologies such as DB2, Postgres, MongoDB, Redis or equivalent
