Job Description
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Cloud Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of our cloud infrastructure. This role requires deep expertise in cloud architecture and a strong background in cloud consolidationmigrating, integrating, and optimizing multi-cloud or hybrid environments into a unified, efficient cloud ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cloud Architecture Design:
- Design scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions across AWS, Azure, GCP, or hybrid environments.
- Define cloud architecture standards, patterns, and best practices.
- Collaborate with DevOps, Security, and Application teams to ensure alignment with business goals.
- Cloud Consolidation & Optimization:
- Lead cloud consolidation initiatives to reduce complexity, cost, and operational overhead.
- Assess existing cloud environments and develop roadmaps for consolidation and modernization.
- Identify and eliminate redundant cloud services and streamline cloud resource usage.
- Governance & Compliance:
- Implement governance frameworks to ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and operational standards.
- Monitor and enforce cloud usage policies and cost controls.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with IT leadership, business units, and external vendors to align cloud strategies with organizational goals.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to cloud engineers and architects.
- Innovation & Continuous Improvement:
- Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and trends.
- Recommend and implement improvements to enhance performance, reliability, and scalability.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in cloud architecture and engineering.
- Proven experience in cloud consolidation projects.
- Expertise in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP); multi-cloud experience preferred with mastery in one.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, Load Balancing, Firewalls) in a cloud context.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
- Expertise with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team in a fast-paced environment.
- Deep understanding of overall application architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices (e.g., microservices, event-driven architecture).
- Hands-on experience or strong familiarity with the following technologies:
- Backend: Node.js
- Frontend: React
- Mobile: Flutter, Native iOS (Swift/Objective-C), Native Android (Kotlin/Java)Role & responsibilities
