Snowflake architect+ Data engineer @ Apptad

Role & responsibilities -

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Snowflake Data Engineer with hands-on experience in Azure Data Factory (ADF) to join our data engineering team. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines, optimizing data flows, and enabling efficient data integration between systems using Snowflake and Azure technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Snowflake.
• Perform data ingestion from various sources into Snowflake via ADF, Azure Blob Storage, and other Azure services.
• Build and optimize SQL scripts, stored procedures, and views in Snowflake.
• Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Implement data quality, performance tuning, and data governance best practices.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines for performance and reliability.
• Work on data modeling (dimensional/star schema) and data warehouse design using Snowflake.
• Maintain documentation for all data flows, pipelines, and architecture.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience in Data Engineering roles.
• Strong expertise in Snowflake  including warehouse configuration, security, performance tuning, and SnowSQL.
• Solid experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) for building pipelines and data integration.
• Proficient in SQL, especially for complex queries and transformations.
• Experience with Azure services: Blob Storage, Azure Data Lake, Synapse (optional).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and DevOps practices.
• Experience with data orchestration, job scheduling, and error handling.
• Knowledge of data governance, data security, and compliance.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred candidate profile - Snow flake developer or architect
