Job Description
Responsibilities:
Preparation of B.O.Q:
Develop detailed and accurate Bills of Quantities based on architectural and interior design drawings.
Identify and quantify all required materials, labor, and services.
Cost Estimation:
Estimate costs for materials, fittings, finishes, and other project components.
Provide alternative solutions to meet budget constraints without compromising quality.
Tender Documentation:
Prepare and issue tender documents for contractors and suppliers.
Analyze contractor bids and provide cost recommendations.
Procurement Support:
Assist in sourcing and negotiating with suppliers for materials and services.
Monitor market prices for materials and services to ensure cost efficiency.
Collaboration with Design Teams:
Work closely with interior designers, architects, and project managers to align costs with design intent.
Provide feedback on the cost implications of design changes.
Project Cost Monitoring:
Track project expenditures and compare them to budget forecasts.
Highlight and address any cost overruns promptly.
Compliance:
Ensure B.O.Q documents adhere to local regulations and industry standards.
Key Skills:
Proficiency in quantity surveying and cost estimation software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, CostX).
Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
Knowledge of materials, finishes, and industry standards in interior design.
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple projects
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Interior Design, or a related field.
Experience in the interior design or construction industry is a must.
