The Cloudera Manager (CM) team develops a hybrid product that manages both private and public clouds. Were building a scalable, robust, and cloud-native solution to provide customers a unified view for managing their clusters within the Cloudera Data Platform (CDP). Our team is comprised of top-notch engineers who are passionate about distributed systems, scalability, test-driven development, and user experience.
As a Staff Software Engineer you will:
Design, architect, and productize proof-of-concepts.
Lead component and product roadmap, and scoping discussions with product management.
Lead high-impact product initiatives, recommend improvements, and mentor and guide junior and experienced team members on all aspects of software development.
Participate in and guide the wider team in code reviews and establishing engineering best practices.
Be comfortable multitasking on multiple projects and platforms, both on-premise and in the cloud.
Collaborate with the Cloudera Enterprise Cloud platform to roll out mission-critical features in AWS, GCP, and Azure.
We re excited about you if you have:
10+ years of industry experience building software in a large-scale production environment.
Strong understanding of systems, multi-threading, databases, networks, distributed computing, and the web (JSON, RESTful web services, and client-server interactions).
Experience with data-center scale computing and microservices.
Proven record in driving initiatives from inception to production by collaborating with technical stakeholders from other organizations.
Proficiency with Java, Python, Go, Hibernate, Spring, CXF, and Swagger.
Expert-level knowledge of JVM, multi-threading, and GC internals.
A B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
