Job Description
Collaborate with development and business analysis teams to understandsystem design and function.
Develop program units in IBM Datastage and Oracle Pl/SQL. The code shouldmeet the requirements as per system design andcoding standards under minimal supervision, and perform unit testing.
Support System Integration testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT),and Performance testing of the Oracle Pl/Sql code and IBM DataStage jobs.
Create and maintain project artifacts and effectivelycommunicate technical impact and risks to team leads and management.
Ensure the complete development activities on time, within budget, and tothe required quality standards.
Perform gap analysis and assess the impact of systemsoftware changes.
Primary focus will be the development of DataStage jobsand Optimize existing DataStage jobs for performance.
Responsible for troubleshooting and resolving issueswith existing jobs in Oracle PL/SQL and IBM DataStage codes.
Troubleshoot DataStage job failures and provide rootcause analysis.
Responsible of code version maintenance as per thecompany standards.
Utilize the environment variables and stage variablesfor developing parameter-driven jobs and debugging them.
Convert the complex job designs into segments and executein job sequencer for better performance and easy maintenance.
Create and maintain shared container to simplify thedesign of DataStage jobs, and find options for code reuse and simplification.
What you willneed:
Bachelors degree with 5-7 years of work experience inIBM DataStage and Oracle Pl/SQL, processes, tools, and techniques.
Minimum of 4 years experience working with Oracle SQLand PL/SQL.
Experience with maintenance of IBM Datastage server.
Knowledge of troubleshooting technical issues withstandard or custom programs.
Familiarity with the Software Development Lifecycle(SDLC) and Software Testing Lifecycle (STLC).
Strong analytical skills and thinking ability.
Hands-on experience writing SQL queries and PL-SQLscripts, such as Procedures, Functions, etc.
Highly organized with excellent verbal and writtencommunication skills.
Adaptable to project and task changes, ability tomultitask.
Ability to work within project plans and meetdeadlines.
