Engineer II - Software Development @ Accelya

Job Description

• Design, develop, and maintain applications leveraging Java, Spring Boot , and Microservices architecture .
• Experience with Spring Framework (e.g., Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Data, Spring Cloud) .
• Build and optimize RESTful APIs for seamless integration between services.
• Develop and implement database schemas (Oracle & PostgreSQL), ensuring data integrity and performance optimization .
• Proficiency in multithreading, concurrency, and JVM internals .
• Familiarity with securing Java applications using OAuth, JWT, SSL/TLS, and other security protocols.

• Collaborate with application architects and business analysts to design and integrate Java-based solutions with databases and external systems.
• Ensure seamless integration between Oracle/PostgreSQL databases and front-end/middleware applications.

• Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and performance tests for Java-based applications.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for application designs, database schemas, and system workflows .

• Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot framework .
• Strong understanding of Microservices architecture and RESTful API development .
• Experience with Oracle and PostgreSQL databases , including SQL tuning and optimization.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Hands-on experience with Agile development methodologies .
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git, SVN) and CI/CD pipelines .
• Strong grasp of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and DevOps practices .

• Knowledge of message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Understanding of middleware technologies and APIs for database interaction.

• Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Exposure to DevOps practices and tools.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
