Job Description
We are looking for a Senior System Administrator with at least 3 years of experience, to maintain, upgrade, and manage our software, devices(desktops, laptops), hardware, and networks.
The job responsibility will be to ensure that our desktop infrastructure (on-premise and virtual desktop) and office network (both on-premises and cloud-based) runs smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Install and configure software and hardware on desktops, laptops, and Virtual desktop infrastructure
- Manage firewall, network servers, tunnel networks and technology tools
- Set up accounts and workstations
- Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
- Troubleshoot issues and outages
- Ensure security through access controls, backups, and firewalls
- Upgrade systems with new releases and models
- Handle provisioning of desktop and manage/forecast inventory
- Build an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals and IT policies
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role
- Experience with networks (LAN, WAN), Firewalls, Tunnel setup, active directory management and patch management
- Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
- Familiarity with various operating systems like Linux, Windows and Mac
- Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Assembling and dessembling of desktops and laptops, troublehooting.
- Installation of various os and third party softwares.
- Knowledge of networking and routing.
- Knowledge of firewalls and dhcp and dns server.
- Knowledge on openvpn .
- Knowledge on Vdi
- Hands on experience on office365.
- Having knowledge on activedirectory (user creation, group polocies etc)
- Having knowledge on patch management.
