Job Description
Responsibilities / Technical skills:
Provides support for the complex technical issues and initiatives related to large-scale network applications, data systems, voice and/or other technical products and services; uses/creates diagnostic, simulation and other tools to maintain, troubleshoot and restore service or data to systems; act as an internal consultant regarding use of tools and processes; evaluates service level agreement criteria; identifies gaps in current technology processes and recommends changes to assure SLAs can be supported; performs complex migrations from development to production, upgrades, installations and/or configurations; may evaluate or review queries to extract data, create standard procedures, completes project sizing; updates/writes documentation and procedures and creates and/or provides related training;, writes/designs test scripts; creates change or issue logs; analyses performance trends and recommends process improvements; assesses changes for risk to production systems and assures quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported areas; and creates, updates and tests the business continuation plan. Provide team leadership to team or project members in a technology organization. Assign tasks and/or project resources, work force management; provides work direction and monitors work progress and adherence to technical process controls/standards. Provides subject matter expertise.
Technical Skills and Knowledge:
Proficiency in Configuration and troubleshooting of routing and switching platforms like Juniper QFX, Cisco Nexus 5K/6K/9K and Juniper MX
Proficiency in Configuration and troubleshooting IP routing protocols like BGP, OSPF
Proficiency in Configuration and troubleshooting technologies/protocols like STP, QOS, HSRP, MULTICAST, DHCP
Proficiency in Configuration and troubleshooting of Cisco ASA and Palo Alto Firewalls
Proficiency in Security technologies like SSL VPN, IPSEC VPN, NAT, ACCESS Policies
Proficiency in Leaf and Spine architecture and technologies like VXLAN, EVPN, MP-BGP
Proficiency in Authentication technologies like LDAP, Radius
Proficiency in Configuration and troubleshooting of SD-WAN Talari
Proficiency in Configuration and troubleshooting of load balancers F5 and NetScaler
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Visio Professional
Having the skillset to lead P1/Critical calls and good communication skills to deal with multiple stakeholders
Having good understanding of Incident, Problem and Change management process
Added advantage if can work on tools like HPNA, CAPM, NetScout, NetFlow
Communication skills:
- Must have excellent communication skills including written, oral and presentation
- Serve as the intake arm of the Offshore center to ensure new systems or processes are introduced into production are fully monitored, documented, supportable and the Operations team has received the proper training and/or orientation to effectively provide support.
