Job Description

Role & responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our team and enhance the efficiency and accuracy of health claim fraud detection. This role involves designing, building, and optimizing data pipelines, integrating AI/ML models in Vertex AI, and improving data processing workflows to detect fraudulent claims faster and more accurately.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in data engineering, preferably in the healthcare or financial sector.
• Strong experience with Google Cloud (GCP) services: Vertex AI, BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Dataproc.
• Expertise in SQL and Python for data processing and transformation.
• Experience with ML model deployment and monitoring in Vertex AI.
• Knowledge of ETL pipelines, data governance, and security best practices.
• Familiarity with healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR) and compliance frameworks.
• Experience with Apache Beam, Spark, or Kafka is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in fraud detection models using AI/ML.
• Hands-on experience with ML Ops in GCP.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a cross-functional team
