Devops Engineer @ Hiringeye

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure using IaC tools like Terraform
• Lead initiatives for CI/CD pipeline automation using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI.
• Collaborate with software engineering teams to streamline development, deployment, and observability practices.
• Administer and manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) with a focus on security, cost optimization, and performance.
• Implement configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
• Manage containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, GKE, or self-hosted).
• Set up and maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging tools (e. g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Datadog).
• Troubleshoot production issues across services and infrastructure layers.
• Participate in on-call rotations and root cause analysis of incidents.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote DevOps best practices across the organization.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, infrastructure engineering, or a similar role.
• Proven experience managing cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

Technical Skills:

• Strong scripting skills (e. g., Bash, Python, Go).
• Proficient in Terraform, Ansible, Helm, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Git-based workflows and source control tools.
• Knowledge of networking concepts (DNS, firewalls, load balancing, VPNs).
• Familiar with secrets management and security best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications (e. g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, CKA, Terraform Associate).
• Experience in hybrid cloud or multi-cloud environments.

Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.
• Effective communication and collaboration across technical and non-technical teams.
• Ability to lead projects and drive automation initiatives
