Overview:
This role is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the organization, ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, compliance with regulations, development of financial strategies and requires analytical skills, attention to detail, ability to communicate financial information effectively across various departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
Own monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
Prepare and present timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS) and regulatory requirements.
Cash and Treasury Management:
Oversee cash flow planning and working capital management
Manage banking relationships and optimize treasury functions
Internal Controls:
Establish and maintain internal control procedures to safeguard company assets.
Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure compliance and mitigate financial risks.
Monitor cash flow and working capital to ensure the financial health of the organization.
Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable processes to optimize cash flow.
Team Leadership:
Lead and mentor the finance team, providing guidance and support for professional development.
Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the finance department.
Strategic Planning:
Collaborate with senior management to develop long-term financial strategies aligned with business objectives.
Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making.
Tax Compliance:
Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns and compliance with tax regulations.
Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors as needed.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience: Chartered accountancy with Post qualification experience of at least 10 years, Previous experience as a Finance Controller or in a similar role is highly desirable.
