Job Description

Position Summary:

We are seeking an Offshore Delivery Director Testing to lead the quality engineering function for a leading U.S. regional banking client. This role oversees Functional Testing, Test Automation, Performance Testing, and QA Process Governance, with full accountability for delivery, client engagement, revenue, risk, and reporting. The ideal candidate has proven experience in core banking (preferably Fiserv), large team management, and in building and transforming Testing Centers of Excellence (CoEs) in a regulated Banking environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. QA Delivery Leadership
  • Lead and govern testing delivery across manual, automation, performance, and compliance/process QA teams.
  • Ensure delivery quality meets client expectations, SLAs, and financial regulatory requirements.
  • Drive agile QA practices, CI/CD alignment, shift-left strategies, and integrated test data and environment management.
  1. QA CoE
  • Build, scale, and transform Testing Centers of Excellence (CoEs) for functional, automation, performance, and test governance streams.
  • Define testing frameworks, tool strategy, reusable assets, and domain-aligned accelerators within the CoE.
  • Establish best practices, innovation pipelines, and standardized QA metrics across the enterprise.
  1. Metrics, MBRs & QBRs
  • Define and manage KPIs: defect trends, test coverage, automation ROI, execution velocity, leakage rate, and cycle efficiency.
  • Build, lead, and present Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs) and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) to internal and client stakeholders.
  • Use dashboards, scorecards, and RCA reports to drive decisions and continuous improvement.
  1. Risk & Issue Management
  • Maintain a formal risk register and lead mitigation across delivery, compliance, and resourcing dimensions.
  • Proactively manage escalations, delivery risks, and scope changes with internal and external alignment.
  • Ensure governance alignment with clients audit, risk, and security protocols.
  1. Revenue Forecasting & Financial Governance
  • Collaborate with account leadership for forecasting, budgeting, and cost management related to testing delivery.
  • Track and optimize utilization, team mix, and delivery margins.
  • Plan and reflect financial impact of ramp-ups/downs, CoE scaling, or scope evolution.
  1. SME & Domain Alignment
  • Lead a domain SME group for core banking (preferably Fiserv Signature), digital channels, and banking operations.
  • Guide SMEs in functional test coverage, traceability, data modeling, and team enablement.
  • Drive domain-specific onboarding, accelerators, and reusable component libraries.
  1. People Leadership & Team Grooming
  • Manage a cross-functional team of QA managers, automation/performance engineers, and governance analysts.
  • Drive career paths, competency frameworks, and leadership pipelines.
  • Foster a high-performance, accountable culture with strong collaboration and delivery ownership.
  1. Client Engagement
  • Act as the senior offshore leader for all testing-related delivery to the banking client.
  • Own all stakeholder communications, cadence meetings, strategic alignment, and escalation management.
  • Ensure client satisfaction through proactive governance and transparent delivery execution.

Required Qualifications:

  • 18+ years of experience in IT services, with 10+ years in QA delivery leadership in banking services.
  • Strong experience with core banking systems (preferably Fiserv Signature).
  • Demonstrated success in building and managing Testing CoEs and scalable QA delivery models.
  • Proven ability to lead large teams (150+ FTEs) across test streams and geographies.
  • Proven leading experience of team with Selenium, Jira, Ready API, Tosca, LoadRunner, JMeter, Postman, ALM, JIRA, Confluence
  • Deep understanding of U.S. Banking regulatory, compliance, and audit standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with mid-sized or regional U.S. banks.
  • Certifications: ISTQB Advanced, PMP, CSTE, or equivalent.
  • Exposure to cloud-based QA, Agile/DevOps, and test transformation programs.
