Job Description
Role & responsibilities :
1. HVAC System Design
- Design HVAC systems for various building types, ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations. (ASHRAE, SMACNA, LEED)
- Conduct load calculations and energy simulations using HAP and Trace 3D Plus for accurate system sizing and efficiency assessments.
2. Modeling & Drafting
- Develop and update 3D models and 2D drawings in Revit and AutoCAD, accurately representing HVAC systems, components, and layouts.
- Ensure models are up to date and aligned with design changes and project requirements.
3. Duct and Pipe Sizing
- Perform duct and pipe sizing calculations to optimize airflow and system efficiency, considering factors like pressure loss and noise reduction.
4. Equipment Selection & Specifications
- Select appropriate HVAC equipment based on project specifications, energy efficiency standards, and client requirements.
- Prepare technical specifications and bill of materials for HVAC systems and components.
5. Tender Documentation
- Develop and compile tender documents, including detailed specifications, drawings, and schedules, to support the bidding process.
6. Project and Team Management
- Lead and coordinate project teams, managing timelines and resources to ensure the timely delivery of quality deliverables.
- Provide guidance to junior engineers and CAD/Revit operators, reviewing work for accuracy and adherence to design intent.
7. Customer Relations Management
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Present design concepts, address inquiries, and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
8. Communication & Collaboration
- Collaborate effectively with other engineering disciplines, architects, and project managers to ensure coordinated and integrated project outcomes.
- Maintain clear, concise, and professional communication with internal teams and external clients.
