Job Description
- Forecasting Demand: Analyzing historical sales data, market trends, promotional activities, and other relevant factors to predict future product demand. This often involves using statistical forecasting methods and software.
- Inventory Management: Working with supply chain and operations teams to ensure optimal inventory levels, minimizing stockouts and excess inventory.
- Collaboration: Partnering with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to gather input, share forecasts, and align on strategies to meet demand.
- Performance Monitoring: Tracking forecast accuracy, identifying areas for improvement, and adjusting forecasts as needed.
- Reporting: Generating reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to demand planning, such as forecast accuracy, inventory turnover, and service levels.
- Process Improvement: Identifying opportunities to improve demand planning processes, forecasting accuracy, and overall supply chain efficiency.
