Job Description
BMC is looking for an Experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to join our amazing DSOM team!
In this role, you will combine Infrastructure and Applicative DBA tasks (50%-50%) and work within an awesome R&D team. You will use relational DBs such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MSSQL and collaborate with various internal interfaces as well as B2B enterprise customers.
Here is how, through this exciting role, YOU will contribute to BMC's and your own success:
Design, create and optimize Database schema and SQL query, while working closely with our development teams
Write store procedures.
Script and develop in Python and other technologies.
Create and maintain Database needed for development and testing the product.
Solve database usage issues and malfunctions.
Work with customers all over the world to resolve database issues.
Work in good collaboration with other teams to develop joint features. Investigate various technologies/tools to choose the correct database and version, from AWS RDS to embedded PostgresSQL
To ensure you re set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:
2-3 years of experience as a DBA
Experience with relational database (Postgres, Oracle, MSSQL or similar)
Scripting / Coding experience (preferably in Python)
Database administration skills - Job monitoring, Backup/restore, security management, etc.
Experience in database tuning and troubleshooting experience.
Experience in writing store procedures.
Great communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work as a part of a team as well as independently.
Whilst these are nice to have, our team can help you develop in the following skills:

Knowledge in public cloud, such as AWS / GCP / Azure etc.
