HiL Test Engineer @ Alten

Job Description

Preferred Qualifications:

• Education:
  
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering (or equivalent) from an accredited university.
  

Technical Skills:

• Experience in testing within the Automotive Powertrain domain, including HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) and Vehicle testing Proficiency with test development tools, such as dSPACE ControlDesk, Provetech TA
• Proficient in CAN/networking tools INCA, CANalyzer, CANape, ATI Vision
• Familiarity with ALM tools (Application Lifecycle Management), such as IBM DOORS, PTC
• Integrity, Rational Quality Manager (RQM), Rational Team Concert (RTC)
• Knowledge of: UDS (Unified Diagnostic Services), CARB OBD and Federal Diagnostic

Requirements

• Working knowledge of HIL hardware/software test environments: Plant models, harnesses, load boxes, fault insertion units (FIUs), controllers
• Scripting experience: Python, VectorScript (VS)

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Self-motivated and able to motivate team members
• Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration abilities
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt to changing environments
• Familiarity with office productivity tools (e.g., Google Sheets, Docs)
• Fundamental understanding of Hybrid and Electric Vehicle architectures
