Job Description
The Network Reporting Analyst is responsible for managing, maintaining, and delivering accurate and timely monthly reports covering availability, capacity, and usage metrics for various customers.
This role plays a critical part in ensuring service performance visibility and operational efficiency through meticulous data validation and reporting. The role carries significant responsibility for on-time delivery, with failure to meet deadlines incurring business and contractual penalties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain a comprehensive set of monthly reports spanning availability, capacity, and usage metrics tailored for diverse customer needs.
- Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of all reports, strictly adhering to agreed schedules to avoid business impact and contractual penalties.
- Perform detailed validation and verification of data using PRTG monitoring tools, ensuring data integrity and accuracy before report generation.
- Utilize advanced Excel functionalities and Power BI dashboards extensively to analyse, process, visualize, and present complex datasets in an accessible, actionable format.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams including Network Operations, Service Delivery, and Customer Success to gather data requirements and troubleshoot discrepancies.
- Monitor report production workflows, identify bottlenecks or failures, and implement process improvements to optimize reporting accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain and update documentation, templates, and reporting procedures to ensure consistency and compliance with company and client standards.
- Proactively communicate with stakeholders on report status, issues, and resolution plans.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on capacity and availability trends to support capacity planning and risk mitigation.
Required Skills and Experience:
Technical Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, complex formulas, macros/VBA, and data modelling.
- Proven experience with Power BI for building interactive dashboards and complex data visualizations.
- Hands-on experience with PRTG or equivalent network performance monitoring tools for data validation.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure metrics such as availability, capacity, performance, and usage.

- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple, time-sensitive deliverables with strict SLAs.

Experience:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in networking engineering, IT reporting, or related field.
- Experience working with customer-facing reports and adherence to contractual reporting timelines.
- Previous experience in a service provider or managed services environment preferred.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Certifications in ITIL, Capacity Management, or Data Analysis tools are advantageous.
Performance Metrics:
- On-time delivery rate of monthly reports (target 99%).
- Accuracy and completeness of reports validated by internal audit or customer feedback.
- Reduction in report errors and exceptions over time.
- Successful implementation of process improvements increasing efficiency.
