Job Description
Role & responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and understand functional and technical requirements related to Loan Origination System (LOS) modules.
- Create and execute manual test cases based on business and functional requirements.
- Perform end-to-end testing of LOS workflows including customer onboarding,application processing, credit appraisal, sanctioning, and disbursal.
- Log, track, and verify bugs using tools like JIRA
- Collaborate with BA, development, and product teams to clarify requirements and ensure test coverage.
- Perform regression, functional, integration, and UAT support testing.
- Prepare daily status reports, defect matrices, and traceability matrices.
Must-Have Skills:
- 24 years of manual testing experience in retail banking domain, especially Loan Origination System (LOS).
- Strong understanding of LOS processes such as lead capture, KYC, eligibility checks, document verification, and approval flow.
- Hands-on experience with writing detailed test cases and test scenarios.
- Good knowledge of SDLC and STLC with familiarity in Agile or Waterfall models.
- Experience using tools like Excel or QMetry for test case management.
Good to Have:
- Exposure to Loan Management System (LMS) including repayment schedules, EMI calculations, and delinquency handling.
- Basic SQL knowledge for backend data validation.
- Knowledge of API testing (even at a basic level).
- Experience working with screen-based banking applications.
- Familiarity with compliance and regulatory validations in retail banking.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and documentation abilities.
- Collaborative team player with attention to detail.
