Control Project Engineer @ Alten

Job Description

Role & responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement Siemens PLC programs using STL (Structured Text Language).
• Work with TIA Portal to configure and program S7-300, S7-1200, and S7-1500 series PLCs.
• Utilize advanced programming concepts including User Defined Data Types (UDTs) and data structures for scalable and modular code development.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to understand system requirements and develop automation logic accordingly.
• Support integration, testing, and commissioning phases of automation projects.

Prepare documentation for code, testing procedures, and system configuration

Preferred candidate profile

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in Siemens PLC programming.
• Strong expertise in STL programming. (Ladder Logic experience is good to have but not a substitute).
• Proficiency with Siemens TIA Portal software.
• Demonstrated experience in using UDTs and structured programming techniques.
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and technical documentation.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
