Job Description
We are seeking a Technical Publication Engineer with 2 to 4 years of experience in creating, managing, and delivering high-quality technical documentation and visual content. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in handling CAD models, authoring tools, and illustration software for creating user manuals, service guides, installation documents, and parts catalogs. A strong eye for detail, technical aptitude, and ability to interpret engineering data are critical for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain technical documents such as user manuals, installation guides, service manuals, and illustrated parts catalogs in compliance with industry standards.
- Utilize IsoDraw CADprocess and SolidWorks Composer for generating high-quality 2D/3D technical illustrations from CAD models and engineering drawings.
- Interpret complex 3D models, assemblies, and technical drawings for visual and written documentation.
- Create vector-based illustrations and graphic content using Adobe Illustrator.
- Author and format documentation using tools such as Adobe InDesign and Adobe FrameMaker (mandatory).
- Collaborate closely with engineering, product design, and manufacturing teams to obtain accurate product information.
- Apply Engineering Change Orders (ECO) to update or revise documentation and parts manuals as needed.
- Maintain consistency in documentation language, structure, and formatting across all deliverables.
- Ensure timely delivery of content for product releases and customer documentation packages.
- Follow internal documentation processes and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 2 to 4 years of proven experience in technical publication or technical documentation roles.
- Proficiency in IsoDraw CADprocess and SolidWorks Composer for creating technical illustrations.
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe FrameMaker.
- Hands-on experience working with 3D CAD models (preferably in SolidWorks or any equivalent CAD software).
- Understanding of engineering drawings, BOMs, and 3D visualization techniques.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interpret and articulate complex technical information.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and documentation skills.
- Familiarity with ECO implementation in parts manuals will be considered an added advantage.

- Experience in domains such as automotive, aerospace, industrial equipment, or manufacturing is a plus.
