Job Description
Role & responsibilities
- Ensure the security of applications, data, and infrastructure by implementing and maintaining robust access control mechanisms and industry best practices.
- Possess strong knowledge of all security compliances applicable to servers and web applications, particularly in alignment with Government of India guidelines.
- Conduct regular security audits, including Vulnerability Assessment (VA) every quarter and Penetration Testing (PT) as and when required.
- Coordinate and ensure STQC certification and other mandatory security clearances for web portals and applications.
- Liaise with CERT-In empanelled security auditors to carry out application and server security audits.
- Address and mitigate vulnerabilities identified in VA/PT reports and those raised by CERT-IN or NIC within the defined timelines.
- Maintain updated SOPs for cyber security in coordination with ministry-level stakeholders, outlining mitigation strategies and countermeasure tools.
- Monitor and update application and server security configurations regularly as per NIC-recommended compliance protocols.
- Ensure the organization follows a centralized compliance repository and implements updates/advisories issued by NIC.
- Support internal teams in security incident response, forensic analysis, and reporting of cyber threats or breaches.
- Work closely with DevOps, infrastructure, and application teams to embed security controls at all stages of the development lifecycle.
Preferred candidate profile
- In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity compliance for servers and web applications
- Experience with CERT-In empanelled security audits and STQC certification processes
- Strong understanding of network security, application security, and infrastructure hardening
- Hands-on experience with Vulnerability Assessment (VA) and Penetration Testing (PT)
- Familiarity with CERT-In and NIC security guidelines and updates
- Proficiency in access control mechanisms, firewall policies, and endpoint protection
- Knowledge of security tools like Nessus, Qualys, Burp Suite, OpenVAS, etc.
- Understanding of SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) systems
- Ability to draft SOPs and incident response protocols for cybersecurity
- Experience in resolving security vulnerabilities, configuration audits, and compliance reporting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and documentation skills
