Job Description
Role Overview
66degrees is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior QA Engineer
with 47 years of experience to join our dynamic Software Engineering team.
In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the quality, performance,
and reliability of modern cloud-native applications. You will build and execute
comprehensive test strategies across UI and API layers while collaborating
with cross-functional teams in an agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
Translate business and functional requirements into clear,
maintainable test plans and cases.
Design and perform functional, regression, smoke, and integration
testing.
Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium
WebDriver, TestNG, and Cucumber.
Conduct API testing using tools like Postman, REST Assured, and
Newman.
Participate in Agile ceremoniessprint planning, daily stand-ups, and
retrospectives.
Log, track, and validate defects in collaboration with engineering and
product teams.
Ensure end-to-end traceability between requirements, test cases, and
defects using tools like JIRA, Zephyr, or TestRail.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
Required Skills & Experience
47 years of experience in manual and automation testing across web,
API, and mobile platforms.
Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, STLC, and Agile
practices.
Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver, Appium, TestNG, and
Cucumber (BDD).
Proficiency in test scripting using Java, Python, or JavaScript.
Experience with REST API testing (Postman, REST Assured).
Familiarity with backend testing, SQL, and database tools like MS SQL
Server.
Expertise in test planning, estimation, automation strategy, and
reporting.
Competency in Git, Jenkins, and Maven for version control and build
automation.
Exposure to cloud platformsGCP (preferred), AWS, or Azure.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter).
Exposure to cross-browser/device testing platforms (Browser Stack,
Sauce Labs).
Understanding of multiple SDLC models including Agile, Scrum,
Waterfall, and V-Model.
