Job Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Make discretionary decisions on behalf of the Company relative to the logistics of HCP assignments for reservations for travel, including air, car & hotel.
Subject matter expert regarding fares and quotes and responsible for educating recruiters and consultants regarding market rates.
Manage and own process for client billing data and payroll deductions.
Resolve customer service issues for HCPs.
Utilize industry knowledge to assist healthcare providers with changes and new travel bookings.
Build relationships with vendors.
Manages multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Takes responsibility for other reasonable duties as assigned from time to time.
  • All other duties as assigned.

    Must have the ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum five years experience with native Worldspan GDS in a corporate travel setting.
Proficiency with travel agency Worldspan GDS technology, including native GDS bookings, self-ticketing, ticket exchanges, refunds, World File maintenance, and queue management.

Experience with VIP Travelers preferred.

Experience with Concur or other online booking tools preferred.

Experience with credit card program administration preferred.

Experience working both independently, and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to adhere to and enforce company and client travel policies.

Demonstrated proficiency with geography, reading maps, and adjusting schedules, meetings, and travel times to United States time zones.

Ability to multi-task and prioritize shifting responsibilities in a dynamic, quickly changing, client-driven environment with changing demands and, at times, conflicting assignments.

Exceptional attention to detail and good organizational skills, ability to multi-task.

Capacity for performing calculations with skill and accuracy.

Proactive approach to problem-solving, analytical mind.

Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and with minimal supervision.

Flexibility in responding to unanticipated situations.

Self-Starter, excellent time management.

Strong work ethic and willingness to take ownership, a strong sense of urgency, initiative, and drive.

Demonstrated aptitude for analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess relevant facts, identify alternative approaches and supply recommended solutions.

Knowledge of and proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel (including pivot tables and formulas), Calendar and Teams, and Windows-based database system(s).

Education: Bachelors degree preferred in business, healthcare, or other similar disciplines, or equivalent combination of education and sufficient experience to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

BASIC PURPOSE:

TheCorporate Travel Agent works closely with the Cross Country Locums division tosecure professional, accurate, cost-effective travel arrangements for bothinternal and external clients. The Travel Agent provides a high level ofsupport to traveling healthcare providers while managing costs and clientbilling.
