Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze business requirements and technical specifications to design comprehensive test plans and test cases for ETL processes.
• Perform data validation, data reconciliation, and data quality checks across source and target systems.
• Execute manual and automated tests to verify data transformations and loading logic.
• Identify, document, and track defects using tools like JIRA or Bugzilla.
• Collaborate with developers, data engineers, and business analysts to resolve issues and improve data quality.
• Create and maintain test data and test environments.
• Generate test reports and provide regular updates to stakeholders.

Required Skills:

• Strong experience in ETL testing using tools like Informatica, Talend, SSIS, or DataStage.
• Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries for data validation and analysis.
• Experience with data warehousing concepts and data modeling.
• Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., HP ALM, TestRail).
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with automation tools like Selenium, Python, or Apache Airflow for ETL testing.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-based data services.
• Exposure to big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
