Job Description

Job Title: Software Test Engineer (API Automation)
Experience: 2 - 4 Years
Location: Ahmedabad

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Test Engineer with a strong focus on API automation. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of hands-on project experience working with tools like Postman or other relevant API automation frameworks. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts for RESTful APIs and ensuring the reliability and performance of backend services.

Key Responsibilities:

Design API automation framework and develop automated API test scripts using Postman or equivalent tools/frameworks.
Analyze requirements and create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
Execute and maintain automated test suites for continuous integration pipelines.
Collaborate closely with development, DevOps, and product teams to understand API specifications and deliver high-quality software.
Identify, document, and track defects, and provide actionable feedback.
Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives as part of the Agile team.
Ready to adjust work shifts as per the project requirements.
Participate in special projects/assignments and perform additional tasks as assigned.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Engineering or a related field.
2-4 years of total experience in Software Testing, with at least 2 years of experience in API automation.
Proficient in tools like Postman, RestAssured, or any other API automation tools.
Familiarity with testing frameworks, version control and continuous integration tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins).
Solid understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
