The Azure L2 Support Engineer is responsible for managing andsupporting cloud infrastructure hosted on Microsoft Azure. This role involvesmonitoring, incident management, performance tuning, and ensuring adherence toorganizational SLAs and compliance requirements. The resource will play a keyrole in ensuring system reliability, cost optimization, and proactive serviceimprovements. Working in a general shift, the engineer will coordinate with bothinternal teams and external vendors to resolve technical issues efficiently andsupport continuous service enhancement initiatives.
Manage and monitor allinstalled systems and infrastructure in the Azure environment to ensure highavailability.
Investigate and resolvetechnical issues related to Azure VMs, Azure AD, storage accounts, VNets, andrelated services.
Provide L2 leveltroubleshooting for incidents escalated from the L1 support team, ensuringtimely resolution and documentation.
Perform daily health checks ofAzure subscriptions and ensure alerts are addressed within SLA.
Maintain, configure, andtroubleshoot hybrid cloud solutions (on-premises and Azure).
Monitor and optimize costconsumption using Azure Cost Management tools.
Apply security patches, OSupdates, and application upgrades in coordination with the change managementprocess.
Develop scripts usingPowerShell or CLI for task automation and improved system efficiency.
Participate in root causeanalysis of major incidents and support preventive action planning.
Ensure proper documentation ofSOPs, incident resolution steps, change requests, and system configurations.
Collaborate with architectureand engineering teams for cloud migrations and infrastructure deployments.
Support internal audits andensure adherence to ISO/ITIL standards and security policies.
Hands-on experience with coreAzure services such as Azure Virtual Machines, Azure AD, Azure Storage, VNETs,NSGs, Azure Monitor, and Backup.
Strong knowledge of Azuregovernance practices including tagging, policies, blueprints, and RBAC.
Proficient with PowerShellscripting, Azure CLI, and ARM templates for automation and provisioning.
Experience with Azure SiteRecovery (ASR), Azure Backup, and replication setup and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with ITIL-basedincident, problem, and change management processes.
Experience using monitoringtools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and third-party integrations.
Working knowledge of networkconcepts like IP addressing, VPN Gateway, DNS, Load Balancers, and Firewalls.
Knowledge of backup strategies,DR planning, and business continuity best practices in Azure.
Ability to troubleshoot issuesspanning applications, OS, networking, and Azure infrastructure layers.
Excellent verbal and writtencommunication skills for technical documentation and stakeholder interactions.
Strong analytical and logicalreasoning with attention to detail.
Proactive attitude toward identifyingand resolving recurring issues.
Ability to prioritize tasksunder pressure and meet strict deadlines.

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, orequivalent technical discipline. 4 to 5 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure and operations, with atleast 3 years in cloud support roles focused on Microsoft Azure environments.

- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
- ITIL FoundationCertification (preferred)
- Additional relevantcertifications such as Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500) or MicrosoftCertified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert are a plus.
