Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineering Manager for a long-term contract role. This is a hybrid opportunity for a player/coach who thrives on both writing code and growing teams. You will lead a team of engineers while collaborating cross-functionally to deliver scalable, high-impact technology solutions.Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of 3 full-stack engineersProvide mentorship, career development, performance reviews, and sprint planningBe hands-on with coding and system design as neededCollaborate with product managers and designers on feature requirements and timelinesOwn delivery of projects: set goals, track progress, and ensure timely executionWork closely with the Head of Engineering to evolve processes and architectureFoster a low-ego, high-performance engineering culture

Required Skills & Experience:
7+ years total experience in software engineering2+ years managing direct reports or engineering teamsStrong full-stack development backgroundHands-on experience with:Typescript, Node.jsRelational Databases (Postgres preferred)Modern Frontend Frameworks (Vue.js preferred; React/Angular acceptable)Cloud Infrastructure (AWS preferred; GCP/Azure also acceptable)CI/CD best practicesStartup experience is a plusStrong leadership and communication skillsBias for action with the ability to take initiative and deliver results.
