Senior Software Engineer - Markit EDM @ Epam Systems

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with expertise in data integration to join our team focused on the Markit EDM platform.

You will play a key role in developing, testing, and supporting EDM functionalities while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams. This role offers the opportunity to lead business-as-usual initiatives and contribute to the delivery of high-quality solutions and problem resolution. If you have strong experience with the Markit EDM platform and SQL and a commitment to supporting clients effectively, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities

• Lead business-as-usual initiatives and deliver high-quality support to business and technology teams
• Manage a team of 8-10 members as the EDM lead
• Analyze and resolve complex issues with strong problem-solving skills
• Maintain strict adherence to issue tracking and incident management processes
• Support production and test environments to ensure stability and performance
• Communicate effectively with clients, business users, and internal teams to facilitate collaboration
• Deliver assigned work with a focus on quality and timely completion
• Provide regular project progress updates to management and project teams

Requirements

• Proven experience as a software engineer with strong data integration skills using the Markit EDM platform and SQL
• Background in leading teams or initiatives in a technical environment
• Experience with Markit EDM and EDM implementations covering any of the following data sets: Market, Instrument, Party, Reference, Corporate Actions and Historical Time-Series
• Skills in application support, including first and second-line problem resolution
• Competency in incident and problem management
• Strong communication skills with English proficiency at C1 level or above
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with business users and cross-functional teams
