ETL Tester(Immediate Joiner) @ Kezan Inc

Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Understand and analyze ETL requirements, data mapping documents, and business rules.
• Design, develop, and execute test cases, test scripts, and test plans for ETL processes.
• Perform data validation, source-to-target data mapping, and data integrity checks.
• Write complex SQL queries for data verification and backend testing.
• Conduct regression, integration, and system testing for ETL pipelines and data warehouse environments.
• Work with BI tools to validate reports and dashboards if applicable.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and data engineers to ensure testing coverage and resolve issues.
• Document defects, test results, and provide detailed bug reports and testing status.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 4+ years of experience in ETL testing or data warehouse testing.
• Strong proficiency in SQL for data validation and analysis.
• Hands-on experience with ETL tools like Informatica, Talend, SSIS, or similar.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, star/snowflake schemas, and data modeling.
• Experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM, TestRail).
• Understanding of automation in data testing (a plus, e.g., Python, Selenium with databases).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, Azure Data Factory) is a plus
